Apple iPhone 6 Rumors: Analyst Says 2014 iPhone Model Could Feature 4.8-Inch Screen
As the popularity of bigger smartphones, dubbed phablets, is on the rise, Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) too is rumored to be working on a bigger iPhone, and if the latest claims of an analyst are to be believed, the 2014 model of the flagship smartphone, unofficially called the iPhone 6, will sport a larger screen.
Peter Misek, an analyst at Jefferies, has predicted, after meeting Apple’s Asian suppliers last week, that next year’s iPhone 6 will be redesigned to incorporate a bigger 4.8-inch screen, compared to the 4-inch screen featured in the existing iPhone 5s.
According to a report from CNET, Misek did not reveal any reasons behind his prediction about the next iPhone iteration's screen size except to say that a bigger screen would attract more customers to upgrade to the new model.
"We think the 85M iPhones eligible for an upgrade when the iPhone 6 launches (we think Apple is targeting Sep 2014) could be boosted by another 5-10M from people who skipped the 5S/5C cycle," Misek wrote in a note to investors.
In the last quarter, around 50 percent of smartphones shipped worldwide had a screen size bigger than 4 inches. During the same period last year, only 20 percent of the smartphones shipped had bigger screens, CNET reported.
Reports about a bigger iPhone 6 have been around for quite some time now even though predictions about the actual size of the phone's screen seem to fluctuate a bit.
Korea’s ETNews also reported last week that the iPhone 6 in 2014 could sport a bigger screen of up to five inches. The report also said that the iPad also would come with a bigger screen of 12.9 inches in 2014.
A Wall Street Journal report recently said that Apple was testing iPhones with screen sizes ranging from 4.8 inches to 6 inches, while KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi-Kuo predicted that the iPhone 6 in 2014 would feature a screen size between 4.4 inches and 5 inches.
Reuters reported, in June, that the iPhone iteration in 2014 may come with at least two bigger screen sizes -- 4.7-inches and 5.7-inches -- as Apple is considering expanding its flagship smartphone range.
Analysts also believe that Apple needs to diversify its iPhone line-up as the company’s handset is at risk of losing more market share to its competitors, especially to main rival, Samsung (KRX:005935).
“Apple’s first priority should be a premium-tier phablet with a 5-inch screen because that is where the largest new revenue pool is located,” Neil Mawston, executive director at Strategy Analytics, recently told TechCrunch.

How to Be Smart and Cool at the Same Time
Many people think that if you're a straight A student or you like making computer programs, you are a nerd. However, you can be smart and cool at the same time. This guide will teach you how to transform from nerdy to cool without changing your interests.
Analyze the situation. How nerdy are you? Are you a nerd at all? We're not talking about how smart you are. You need to figure out how people perceive you, for the most part. Slightly dorky, but mostly cool? A normal kid with a geeky side? A total socialoutcast? Someone you wouldn't expect to have good grades? Don't let what you find out in this step get you down or make you arrogant. Others' opinion of you isn't the end of the world. We are just using it as a tool for your personal development. Besides, you're not really "nerdy." You're just smart and you happen to be capable of forming interests without the validation of the mainstream.
Do not talk too much about your personal life. If someone asks what you like to do for fun, don't lie. Just answer honestly (no matter how geeky the answer is). But do not go into much detail. For example, if you like to make web-pages, don't say "I make the best web-pages without even using any programs. I make them with NotePad because I memorized HTML and I'm fluent in JavaScript, and I hate how the WYSIWYG editors force you to conform (conformity is so mainstream) and to relax I like to play MMORPGS, Warcraft on the Dalaran server, to be specific, blah-blah-blah." Just say, "I like to use the computer and play videogames." If they ask you specifically, say "I make websites", or "I like to play Warcraft". Don't go into details, unless you're asked, because most people don't care. They're just making conversation (something you'll soon be doing). If you play a sport or do something else in your free time, like go shopping, go to the beach, watch movies or eat at your favorite restaurant, you might want to mention that too, in order to downplay your "nerdy" hobbies. Make sure you ask them what they like to do, as most people are quite happy to talk about themselves.
Avoid getting obsessed with things that don't really matter. For example, do not care about your post count on any forum. Or don't care about your page views. The point of forums/communities are to share thoughts, ask questions and discuss topics, not have 65,405 posts and 485 topics with 6,584 replies. Life is too short to freak out about stuff like that. Go outside and get some fresh air or learn to play an instrument instead of wasting your time with that. And if it really is that important to you, you probably don't want to mention that to most people.

Learn to listen. Sometimes you might not notice that you are talking and think that people are actually interested but they are annoyed or bored. If you can't think of anything to say ask a question that is not too lame. Most people like to talk about themselves. It's good to be talkative and able to hold up a conversation, but make sure to let the other person or people speak - really listen when they are talking. Practice your speaking skills with people you feel comfortable with, like a sibling or neighbor.

Dress cool! You can be a nerd in the inside just don't show it! Wear cool stuff out side! But be smart!
Be an easy to talk to person. People like to be able to talk to someone smart without having to feel stupid. If someones asks you something really simple to you like, "What is pi?" don't say "I'm not telling". You'll just become a total jerk and super uncool. Say something like "Here, I'll show you" and when you've explained it in an easy form, say, "It seems hard but it's really not" and when they thank you say "Any time!" This makes you a likeable person that can help people a gain new perspective. And if people start taking advantage of you, all the better! You could show the fact that you're a self-reliant kid, and you can stick up for your self by saying something like, "I'm here to help you, not to baby you".
Meaning behind The dream of death
Death dreams can be quite jarring and scary as if it was a premonition of your own imminent death or a death of aloved one. However, there is no need to be alarmed or panic. And no you do not actually die if you do not wake up before you die in your dream.
In order to best understand your dream of dying, it is important to look at what is going on in your waking lifethat may have triggered such a dream.
Death means new beginnings:
Dreaming of your own death symbolizes inner changes, transformation, self-discovery and positive development that is happening within you or your life. You are undergoing a transitional phase and are becoming more enlightened or spiritual. Big changes are ahead for you where you are making a new start and leaving the past behind. If you are getting married or divorce, being promoted to a new position, moving to a new country, you may experience dreams of your own death. If you dream of faking your death, then it suggests that you are taking control of your life and making a fresh start. You want change in your life.
If you dream that your ex has died is your subconscious's way of telling you that the relationship is dead and that you are moving on. To dream about the death of your living parents indicates that you are undergoing a significant change in your waking life. Your relationship with your parents has evolved into a new realm. As a child reaches certain milestones and grows into an adult, dreaming of their death is symbolic of their own self-discovery, transition and transformation into a new stage of life.
Death means a part of you has died:
Metaphorically, dying can be seen as an end or a termination to your old ways, bad habits, destructive behavior or some other aspect of yourself. So dying does not always mean a physical death, but rather an ending of something. In such dreams, the death is often represented by someone else. So if you dream that someone is dead, then it means that you want to repress that aspect of yourself that is represented by the dying person. Whatever that person represents has no part in your own life anymore.
Generally, dreaming about someone's death implies that your feelings for that person are dead or that a significant change/loss is occurring in your relationship with that person. If you see a stranger die in your dream, then it implies that you are feeling detached from the changes that are happening around you. If you dream about the death of a child, then it inidicates that you need to let go of your immaturity and start being more serious. The death of a child can also mean that your inner child is being stifled.
Death means a wake-up call:
The frightening and alarming nature of death can in itself be a wake- up call for something. It is your mind's way of trying to grab your attention to something dire in your waking life where you need to take action. Consider how you felt in your dream and think about a situation in your waking life where you felt the same way.
For some, dreaming of your own death may be a health warning. Perhaps you have been putting off a doctor visit. Or perhaps you need to make some unhealthy lifestyle changes.
Death means escape:
To dream that you die may mean that you are desperately trying to escape from the demands of your daily life. This may be some major stressor, obligation, responsibility or perhaps you want out of a painful relationship.
Death means coping with death:
Dreaming of death may be your subconscious way of dealing with the idea of death and your own mortality. It is natural to be anxious about death. When will it happen? How will it happen? Will it hurt? Sometimes it is hard to think about death consciously because it is unpleasant or taboo or you just don't want to think about it. As a result, you push it into your subconscious where it may play out in your dream.
If someone in your life is terminally ill or dying, then it is not surprising for death to be on your mind and in your dream more often.
Death means self-sacrifices:
In some cases, to dream that you die is symbolic of your sacrifices. You feel that you are always putting your needs of others first.
Death means missing characteristic:
Dreaming about the death of a loved one suggests that you are lacking a certain aspect or quality that the loved one embodies. Ask yourself what makes this person special or what you like about them. It is that very quality that you are lacking in your own relationships or circumstances.
Death means resentment:
More directly, a dream about someone's death may mean that you are harboring some deep seated resentment toward this person. .
Dreaming of someone who is already dead:
To see or talk to the dead in your dream forewarns that you are being influenced by negative people and are hanging around the wrong crowd. This dream may also be a way for you to resolve your feelings with those who have passed on. Alternatively, the dream symbolizes material loss.
If you dream of a person who has died a long time ago, then it suggests that a current situation or relationship in your life resembles the quality of that deceased person. The dream may depict how you need to let this situation or relationship die and end it.
If you dream of someone who has recently passed away, then it means that their death is still freshly in your mind. You are still trying to grasp the notion that he or she is really gone. If the dead is trying to get you to go somewhere with him or her, then it signifies that you are trying to understand their death. You also don't want to be alone.
To see and talk with your dead parents in your dreams represent your fears of losing them or your way of coping with the loss. You are using your dream as a last opportunity to say your final good-byes to them.
To see your dead sibling, relative, or friend alive in your dream indicates that you miss them and are trying to relive your old experiences you had with them. In trying to keep up with the pace of your daily waking life, you dreams may serve as your only outlet in coping and coming to terms with the loss of a loved one.
To dream of your dead child is a way for you to keep your child alive through your dreams. For a parent to lose a child is extremely difficult. Such dreams occur because you still cannot accept or understand how or why your child was taken from you so soon.
It is important to keep in mind that even though a person has passed away, it does necessarily mean that your relationship with them is dead; the relationship is just different now. Dreams can serve as a way for you to keep a connection and maintain a relationship.
Conclusion:
Your dream of death should usually not be taken literally. Look at the dream death as symbolic of something in your waking life that is changing or ending.

The Department of Agriculture said Wednesday that it had fined Harvard Medical School $24,000 for repeated animal welfare violations at its research centers that have resulted in the deaths of four monkeys since 2011. The fine comes after a lengthy investigation into mistreatment of primates at the school’s animal research labs in Massachusetts, one of which Harvard plans to close. In one case in February 2011, a laboratory worker overdosed a monkey with anesthetic, causing it to die of liver failure. Two other monkeys died after being deprived of water, and one died after a chain attached to a toy in its cage wrapped around its neck, strangling the animal.
